Många av er minns säkert den stora hypningen av AirPlay som kom till iOS 4.2.1. En funktion som personligen inte har satt sin rätta plats ännu och som är lika bortglömd som Voice Control och Spotlight. Hur som haver ser det nu ut som om Apple planerar på att integrera en AirPlay-funktion för bilder och media, detta rapporterat från 9to5mac.
9to5mac rapporterar nu att Apple har planer på att integrera en funktion som gör det möjligt att streama bilder och media med din iPhone.
”Hidden deep in the iOS 4.3 file system is a new folder titled ”Media Stream.” Within that folder is some information about ”Photo Streaming.” From the looks of different alerts and plists, it appears that Apple will let iPhone users set up ”Photo Streams” that friends could ”subscribe” to. Also, it looks like there will be some privacy preferences related to this, so you can choose who is allowed to view your ”Streams.”
With Photo Streams, you will also be allowed to ”invite” other users to view your pictures as you take them and upload them to a service. This service looks like it is connected to MobileMe, and we speculate that ”Media Stream” can be directly connected to ”Find my Friends.””
9to5mac avslutar dock med att meddela att funktionen med största sannolikhet inte ser dagens ljus förens iOS 5 finns tillgänglig. Anledningen till det är att funktionen ligger djupt ner i betan av iOS 4.3.
