iPhone Dev Team har postat ett nytt inlägg där dom förklarar att version 3.2.2 samt 4.0.2 inte kommer att jailbreakas innan dess att 4.1 lanseras. Anledningen är simpel och går ut på att dom som lönas av ett jailbreak för 4.0.2 är Apple.
Hur det än låter är den väsentliga biten helt enkelt att den ”katt & råtta” lek som ständigt är aktiv mellan Dev Team och Apple gynnas av Apple i detta fall. Skulle iPhone Dev Team lansera ett nytt jailbreak för 4.0.2 skulle det innebära att det tar betydligt längre tid att jailbreaka 4.1 och över lag bidra med fler problem. Dev Team säger följande;
”No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was *only* released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.
If the cat & mouse game escalates too quickly, especially during beta FW periods, nobody but Apple benefits. For this reason, there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak specifically during the period where 4.0.2/3.2.2 is the latest public release. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).”
Vi kan alltså konstatera nu att ni som missade 4.0.1-tåget får vänta tills dess att 4.1 blir jailbreakad, om den blir det.
