I en rapport från 9to5mac kan vi läsa att utvalda utvecklare har fått ta del av iPhone 4S med den kraftfullare A5-processorn. Om det är nästa generations telefon eller endast en prototyp för bättre spelupplevelse på iPhone återstår att se.
Att iPhone skulle bli en primär enhet när det kommer till portabelt spel var det förmodligen inte många som hade väntat sig, framförallt inte Apple. Med sin framgång har konkurrenterna satts i rubbning och spelutvecklare har blivit miljonärer på iOS. Att grafikprestanda och processorkraft prioriteras i framtidens iEnheter råder det inget tvivel om.
”They already have select developers working on versions of their iPhone applications that take full advantage of the next-generation iPhone’s speedier and much more powerful hardware. These developers, seemingly from high-level gaming outfits, have been given what is essentially an iPhone 4 but with an A5 processor instead of an A4. The device itself is virtually identical to the iPhone 4, and there is no way anyone can tell it’s not an iPhone 4 based on the phone’s exterior.
The person who chose to share this information with us calls it the ‘iPhone 4S’, though the device itself only has typical Apple prototype nomenclature. He also shared that the device spends its evenings in a safe in the company’s offices.”
Om det här är den kommande generationens iPhone är som sagt oklart. Att Apple sätter in A5 i sin nya telefon är dock högst sannolikt och vi kan vänta oss ännu mer godbitar. Rykten har talat för att det bara blir en prestandauppdatering och detta bekräftar påståendena i en liten utsträckning.
