Ingen AirPrint i iOS 4.2?
Det ryktas att Apple har dragit in AirPrint-funktionen i iOS 4.2. Detta kommer innebära att funktionaliteten mellan skrivare och enhet nu tas bort, om det är temporärt eller permanent är oklart.
Det är Macstories som rapporterar att Apple har valt att göra ett par justeringar med iOS 4.2. Citerat från bloggen:
”We have been told from a few Mac developers that a few days ago Apple removed all the references to printing via OS X 10.6.5 and PCs both from Readme files and other online documentation posted in the iOS developer center. It seems like all that’s now mentioned in the release notes are the aforementioned HP networked printers, as if the shared printing option never existed.”
Det finns fler faktorer som tyder på att detta är ett faktum. Efter informationen skickades ett mail från en utvecklare till Apple där frågan behandlades, och svaret han fick var följande,
”Support for AirPrint on Windows and Mac has been cancelled. We will be in contact with you if another opportunity arises in the future.”
Vad som händer efter detta är fortfarande oklart. Förhoppningsvis påverkas vi inte allt för mycket av det.

Nää 4.2b3 är för att comex inte har kommit längre med sitt untethered exploit, men det skulle kunna vara :) !
